Opening and closing mechanism not brilliant.
It fulfilled the requirement of a low profile vent which looked good and was easy to install. However, the mechanism for opening and shutting the vent was far from smooth. The two toggles which are pulled to either open or close the vent need excessive force and I fear in time will pull the whole assembly off the wall. Luckily there is an external sliding switch which can be used as an alternative method of opening and closing the shutter type vent. Shame really, I had high hopes for it.
