Needed something to control my poor wifes constant wandering at night because of sundown syndrome I purchased this restrainer. I was torn about the use of such restraints to contain her in bed but choose this one because it held her down only at the waist and she could turn and sleep on her side if she wished . Alzheimers is such a horrible mental and debilitating illness . But if I don't rest how can I care for her so I reluctantly purchased this restrainer and can say that although I still feel reluctant to use it at least I can rest knowing she cannot get out of bed and possibly hurt herself . It does work and will allow you to at least rest knowing that your loved one is safe in bed and not wandering about . Bless all who are going through mental issues with their loved ones . It will help you at least rest. It is well made and is usable with the hospital TWIN bed I purchased for her . Not sure if it will fit more than a full mattress .

Although I hate to tie my mother to her bed, she has dementia, and does not remember that she cannot walk. She is fractured, her pelvis, her hip and many bruises during the night when she tries to get up this belt has given me a piece of mind that she's no longer going to try to get out of bed and hurt herself.

Plastic clips broke after only two uses. Should be made much stronger since its purpose is to keep the combative patient in bed.

I bought this to use on my 91-year-old mother who has dementia. She would climb out of bed in the middle of the night, and was unstable on her feet so I was afraid she was going to fall. I put it on at bedtime, and it prevented her from getting out of by herself . It runs a little large, so it was loose on her. The downside was I had to climb under the bed to buckle it

I use this for my elderly mom who has dementia and needs assistance when walking. It straps her in when sitting in her recliner or wheelchair so I know she’s not trying to get up when my back is turned for a moment. Gives me peace of mind.
