Great value quality & overall functionality for a heavy duty fitness smart watch.
I chose this watch (TRex2) after looking through all the different options with Garmin and apple watch then finding the Amazfit product line and comparing the models. Not only does it make my lil T Rex mama heart happy that its a TRex product but it also boasts overall military grade durability, extreme cold/hot resistance, water resistance up to 100m and 10ATM (big issue for me as a active swimmer and being out in the elements daily with my life/job) & dirt resistance. The display is vibrant & it has the touch screen as well as button access which was important to me as I had a versa fitbit3 that would sometimes not respond to touch if I was sweaty or it was wet from swimming etc. on top of all of that it also has military specs and durability - important to me (will update on this in future) the watch band it came with Stock is actually surprisingly flexible but strong and itsnt too bulky at all - it nests comfortably against my wrist and has two band holders built in to hold the excess strap. I have great expectations for this band lasting as its not too rigid but feels strong. The screen itself is smooth and slightly dropped down to protect it from getting banged up on. ( I did however purchase a silicone face cover and glass screen protector’s to allow for extra protection - I am very active daily and didnt want to have to worry Id smash the face on something ) the fitness functions are intuitive and recognize your movement fluidly. As for the sleep analysis it seems to be accurate and tracks shorter periods of time with a easy to grasp breakdown of sleep quality. It’s important to me that the TRex2 also tracks stress and heartbeat/BloodO2 & breathing patterns. The Zepp app is relatively easy to navigate and with a little exploring - I was able to go through most of the functions within minutes of set up - which was extremely easy to pair with my iPhone. The watch came with a 54% charge and the instructions reco that you fully charge it before use. It was at 100% within a half hour. I also like there is a security function that allows you to set a 6 digit passcode for when you remove your watch - this activates immediately upon removal from your wrist - but I really appreciate this function as there have been times I have taken off my fitbit and it was lost/stolen and I worried about my data safety. I have already slept with the watch and enjoyed the sleep report. The auto dimming functions and overall screen brightness is impressive- I can also appreciate the lift to wake as it’s intuitive to your movement and doesn’t turn on/off everytime you move your arm. There are countless faces available - free selections are very nice as well as offering some paid faces - I spent over an hour looking through them all. There is even a “flashlight mode” - the screen goes ery bright cool white and would be good to spot something dropped or to move through close quarters in the dark. The app store is pretty decent for my needs- I didn’t see a true wallet app - but thats ok I can use my phone. As for GPS I haven’t tried it out in filed but it seems accurate. Unboxing was satisfying and well packaged with a upscale feel.I am overall very pleased with the value, appearance and functionality of this TRex2. I will update as time passes, and or issues occur. :)

Worth Every Cent!
I have an iPhone and have enjoyed this watch TREMENDOUSLY for the past year and a half. Still going strong with no issues and fantastic battery life for daily use. Battery works a bit harder when using for navigation, but daily work wear I charge around once a month. Got a tempered glass for the face and switched to a bolesi stretchy band. Believe all the 5-star reviews! Quality and durability for a fraction of the cost of @pple watch!

A durable, feature-rich alternative to iOS & Android watches
I’ve had the Amazfit T-Rex 2 for nearly 2.5 months and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. During this time, I’ve used this smart watch primarily for fitness tracking, hiking and sleep monitoring. The GPS tracking is extremely accurate. You can set waypoints on a hike and then use the map to backtrack to your original starting point. This is a great feature if you plan to hike off trail. You can upload your own maps, but it is somewhat of a daunting task to do so, which is a con for this watch. The maps generated by this watch are breadcrumb maps, which is fine for me. You can’t read a detailed map very well on a screen of this size. And any adventurer worth their weight is going to have a map of the area they go hiking in anyway. The sleep tracking feature is pretty darn awesome. It tracks my sleep stages very accurately. It also heart rate and respiratory rate as I am sleeping. While the watch itself offers significant insight, the accompanied app offers even more. The fitness tracking feature is pretty much on par with the sleep tracking feature. Just keep in mind these devices only give you relative data as to your heart rate and other vitals. Don’t be a Dilbert and use a smart watch as a medical device, rushing to the ER because your heart rate spiked. The best thing about this watch is the battery life. Holy cow, the battery life. Under heavy use, I can go a couple weeks in between charges. On lighter weeks, I can go as far a 3 weeks before needing to recharge. And the recharging? Well it only takes (I haven’t actually timed it) but maybe an hour or less. The durability appears to be high. I’ve bang this watch into walls, trees, bumped pavement while working underneath a car and the screen is still perfect. Although the glass isn’t indestructible, it is very tough.Other features I’ve used or notifications. I can’t reply to texts or answer calls. But you know what? I’m not trying to be Dick Tracy. If I need to communicate with somebody, I’ll pull out my phone.Free watch faces are plentiful via the companion app or through 3rd party websites such as amazfitwatchfaces. In conclusion, I love this smart watch. The value is insane! The features vs the price should make this a no-brainer for any fitness or outdoor enthusiast.
