Didn't work after a week

Solar Power - useless
Typical solar power item - last few days with 30 degree heat and brilliant sunshine, only worked 10.30 to 15.30. Walking past the feature and putting a shadow on one of the solar cells caused feature to stop ! Today, slightly overcast sky, nothing !! Looks great when working, suspect that with a typical British summer, we might see it working 5 days out of 365.Can't the supplier use a bigger battery pack ?
