Q: do you need rubber cement ?

Rubber cement will help lubricate the string during insertion and make a better bond in the tire. Rubber cement may not be necessary but it makes the repair job easier.

Q: I bought these for automotive tires, but the package says "Wheelbarrow, Mower". Can these be used on radial passenger tires?

Not sure if the label reads "Wheelbarrow, Mower" as a suggested use or for legal reasons. In the "professional" tire industry on-the-wheel wheel repairs like plugs are not recommended and are considered temporary. I have use this method for years without any problems. As long as the puncture is cleaned and dressed properly the plug should last for the life of the tire.

Q: Are these soft so they go on to the tire easy? The black ones I had that were harder & will not go into the tire. Thx

dear customer, tire plug is not very soft, it's a little tough, you have to dig a hole in the tire and insert the plug, please install follow our product page video.
