A great shame they didn't go the extra mile and provide friction washers to keep the camera from rotating and the counter weight from loosening. As sold it is virtually unuseable. A very simple modification is to make washers out of cardboard and use a hole punch to make a hole for each screw to pass through. I plan to cut up a bicycle inner tube to make even better friction washers.I failed to get a smooth gliding effect with a telephoto with no built in stabilisation but was quite pleased with the performance with a stabilised wide angle lens.So yes it works, but only with wide angles and a bit of modification.

Not bad, but not great.
This item made very well made, the red and silver colour makes it stand out. The 3 weights at the bottom are used to balance it out.Bad points -No in-depth instructions on how to balance for certain camera types.Slightly too heavy even before putting the camera on.The swivel head on the actual grip doesn't tighten very well so it comes loose very quickly. Very annoying. The camera attachment screw doesn't tighten to the camera very well. It seems to be loose and flimsy. The screw in the middle of the metal on the left of the picture doesn't tighten that well. It comes loose after a few mins.

low cost, but far from perfect
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I took about 5 minutes to set this up with an A5000, which is pretty lightweight, but I wouldn't want too heavy a camera even though weight can have a stabilising effect. In this time I got it more or less stable and working as it should. there are YouTube videos that give instructions - don't count on any from this supplier that will help as well. If proper stabilisation is essential, spend the money and get something that really works - it will be very expensive. This stabiliser will work up to a point, which is not terrible and better than handheld in difficult situations. My test was down four flight s of stairs and up and down part of my garden - no panoramas and a need for close focus, so the limitations of the camera played a part. In the event, a sort of dreamy filmic quality was there and I think I can improve on it with practice, but know that you are not getting pro quality here. Nevertheless, it is not bad. Three stars may push to 4 stars with experience.

This is my secret weapon. Superb quality, easy set up.
If you want equipment that is well made and does the job brilliantly. Buy this steady cam device. It is robust and fits together quickly. I have been doing filming day to test equipment and Orsda Handheld has worked well as part of my lightweight kit. I am just about to travel the length of Japan filming for a month. I have no doubt the piece of equipment will exceed its price band by a huge margin. I see multiple suppliers and branded items identical for double and triple the price. Buy this one. End of story!

Exactly what I needed!
As a sufferer of Essential Tremor, I was fed up with all my video footage getting destroyed by my shaking hands. This stabilizer is a great help.It is a bit hard to set up properly, but I was expecting this when I ordered it.Brilliant value for money. I've seen the exact same one for triple the price.

Verv pleased and pleasssntly surprised at quality!!!!
Product was robust and well packaged, I would say from looking at other brands in some cases more then 10 times more expensive, I could not really see a difference. Instructions were not great but plenty on YouTube to show you simple and effective tips. I also have larger “official” SLR / video camera steadying unit which is also great and cost 12 times more.......the difference in shot production is for general purposes indusernable. Like any other stabiliser think about accessories and lens changes or movements which may affect the fulcrum....get those right and it can be set in about 4-5 mins (I have made small marks on the arms of the unit and notes on my phone re notches depending how n which camera and lens I am using.....can set these in under a minut). I had a 2.5lb camera on mine and with a couple of light washers from my garage Added to the weights supplies I had it balanced perfectly! It is under £30.......bargain (like a budget airline flight.....may not be the most show off brand.....but it gets you there and saves cash for accessories!) It is cheaper than a round of coffee and cakes with four or five friends in high street coffee shops!! Honestly, for quick steadying......can’ complain!! Great

Good value for money - tricky to set up
PositivesGood quality parts. Hand grip is comfortable. Once set up, this kit works very well.NegativesThe screws are fiddly to tighten and untighten. My kit came with three identical weights (150g each, approximately). A single 150g weight is far too heavy to counterbalance a small camera. Consequently, I've had to slice one of my weights with an angle grinder. Couldn't source any alternative weights, unfortunately.Tips on setting upSetting up the kit for the first time can be very tricky and frustrating. However, if you persist you will be rewarded. Take your time, and if you struggle (as I did) take a look at the instructional videos that are available online - they're really useful. It took me a few sessions. I walked away from the setup a couple of times (to calm down) but eventually I got the feel for it. Now I'm a happy bunny enjoying stable video shots.

Smoother shots without the shakes
Easy to work out and after trying the different weight combinations found a good balance. Much smoother shots, panning, tracking and moving without the shakes.
