Base was defective
I received this and was testing before wrapping it for my grandson. Thank goodness I tested it! The base worked when I first put the batteries in, but started shutting off after being on for about two seconds. Tried with batteries and the included usb cable. No matter what, the base shuts off in about two seconds. Amazon is sending a replacement and I am hoping that it gets here in time and works! Other than the problem with the base, it looks really cool! I will update this review when I receive the new one!

Worked Great, Very neat effect, not for very young kids, might be too scary.
Works great, very cool effect. My young son loved it during the day, but on the third night of having it in his room it became scary and the source of nightmares and we had to take it out. I still left five stars because I don't think anything is wrong with the product, it's very neat, but just be forewarned this might not be okay for little kids.

Poor quality
Not worth the price. Seems cheaply made. Light would not stay on most of the time. Would flicker on and off randomly. Flimsy. Colors were incorrect. Orange looked light green. Not 3D! It’s a flat plate which is 2D. Smaller than it appears in the pictures.

Not impressed
It’s not as 3D as I thought it would be. Made out of a sheet of thick plastic that’s supposed to make it look 3D. Plus it already broke..the piece that the charger goes into pushed into the base and we can’t get it out.

Use outlet to plug in
Got this for my son for his bedroom. Really neat! Great buy! Works best when plugged into outlet. Nice and bright. Functions very well. Batteries only last a couple hours and isnt that bright and remote will stop working due to batteries giving out. Over all great product!

My son uses this every single night. I love that it lays flat so he can put it in a backpack and even take it with us on vacations.

mesmerizing
love T rex light. Grandson loves it. Bright, clear lights.....one problem...battery cover does not stay closed. will have to return and take a chance on a second one....keep you posted

My nephew really enjoyed this. We use it during the night. As a night light. He can pick the colors each night
