This Bag Saved My Life!
I purchased this bag here on Amazon in preparation for a camping trip with my boyfriend which we never took. I was disappointed that we didn't really get to try out the bag. But as fate would have it, I would find a use for it a month later when I caught the flu and was sick for three weeks. The sleeping bag was the only place I felt comfortable and warm. I stayed toasty in my cocoon! But that was only the first instance that I had occasion to use the bag in a crisis. Another month went by and my house's heating system broke down. For several complicated (and stupid) reasons, it could not be fixed for some time. We were experiencing record low-temperatures. Knowing the bag was my best hope, I broke it out again. The sleeping bag kept me warm no matter how cold it was outside. When I would venture out of the sleeping bag, I would return to find my cats curled up in it and on it, they knew it was the place to be. It was a great purchase, worth every penny, and believe me, it works. The flannel lining is so soft and comfortable, the canvas exterior is very durable and stain-resistant. The stitching is very good, no rips or ruptures, even with extended periods of use. I am so grateful that I didn't buy a dud, because I might have frozen to death or had to vacate my home for an extended period! There's plenty of room, but no sacrifice in terms of warmth. Great product, and great price!

Too large and heavy
While this is one of the most comfortable sleeping bags I have ever slept in, it is extremely heavy and cumbersome to travel with. Once it is out of its bag it is incredibly difficult to get back in. I have resorted to using straps to keep it rolled up. I am both a car camper and a back country camper - I would never go hiking with this sleeping bag, and even as a car camper, it takes up too much room in the trunk and is a pain to put into the tent - always a two person job. I would recommend this sleeping for someone with a truck - its great to lay out in the bed of a truck (if that is where it will stay). On the other hand, extremely warm and thick. I always get a good nights sleep in it.

Great sleeping bag, not keen on the storage sack.
I haven't camped with this bag yet, so these are my initial thoughts. First let me say I really like the bag itself. The canvas outside and flannel inside to me feel much nicer than cheaper synthetic materials that just feel like plastic. I understand the purpose for other bags being made that way, but for something I am not going to be hiking with anyway, I really like the feel of the flannel and canvas. I believe there is only one zipper due to the temperature rating of the bag; this makes it easier to retain heat and not have drafts or cold spots. The 20 degree Guide Gear bag has a zipper on both sides. The zipper on this bag is to me just kind of so-so. It would be better to have a larger heavier duty zipper that would zip a little easier and better match the weight and feel of the bag. My only real gripe is the storage sack for the sleeping bag. From the factory the sleeping bag is tight enough in the storage sack that you have to work to get it out. Now imagine trying to get it back into the sack. I got it just far enough to be about flush with the open end and just stopped for now. The storage sack should really be larger diameter, and even better would be to make it larger diameter and attach straps and buckles to the outside to compress it down once you have the bag in it. Next I plan to try stuffing the sleeping bag into one of the used military sea bags. I use one of those for an older military sleeping bag and it works great, so hopefully I can fit this bag into one. If that doesn't work then I will try a really large duffel bag or something.*EDIT* A standard military "sea bag" is too small in diameter. A larger one may work. I happened to have an Outdoor Products Giant Duffel and it fits fine in that with some room to spare at one end. This is what I will end up using instead of the factory storage sack. The Outdoor Products duffel looks like the design has changed a little, but as long as you get the Giant size it should be fine.

Who Designed this stupid sleeping bag?
This sleeper that claims to be a big double sleeping bag is actually smaller than 2 sleeping bags put together. is that a double bag? then to top it off it only has a zipper on one side. now this is a thick sleeping bag, but if you get hot and can't open the zipper it is a nightmare. also if you get claustrophobic (spelling error!) you can't sleep on the inside, and my pregnant wife needs to be able to get in from the side. we wanted to return it, but spending $35 to send it back defeats the purpose when we only paid 87 dollars for it in the first place. if the other stuff isn't enough the bag that comes with it is at least 6 inches smaller than it should be. you should be able to get it in and then use the compression straps. we had enought trouble getting it in the dang bag. needless to say we are looking for another bag that at least has zippers on both sides!

Great Bag.
Great bag. Very roomy. Warm, but not too hot. Cozy on the couch, to crawl in, and cuddle up. The padding is THICK. Your first thought will be, that this thing is going to be too hot.....but it's not. The flannel inside is soft. Outside looks durable. I have not used it outdoors, but I can see where it'd be good for that. Re compressing to get back in the bag, is a two person project. Zippers on both sides (or all around) would have made this thing easier for either person to get out. Was thinking that if the thing zipped all around, it would be easier to put in a washing machine. It's so big, professional cleaning is prob your only option.

This has to be the best sleeping bag i ever bought
This has to be the best sleeping bag i ever bought. I not a big camping kind of person so my experience with sleeping bags is limited. I bought this because i sleep in an unheated trailer and will get limited use since the So. Cal. weather is so accomodating. But when the temp dips, this bag is as cozy and warm as a campfire. And i have plenty of room to travel as i sleep.
