User Friendly and Powerful
I ordered (2) these for my business. They are very effective at cleaning and maintaining carpets especially in small areas because the machine is smaller than most industrial carpet extractors and therefore can fit into corners better. Very good to have if you work in hotels as a HSKP mgr, or if you have an airBNB-- this will make short work of deep cleaning carpets in small carpeted rooms. I also like that it cleans carpets very close to baseboards without having to use the hand held piece.I would advise buying the separate handheld piece and hose because that allows the machine to do very detailed work and can complete projects other than carpet like upholstery/furniture deep cleaning, deep clean the interior of your car, carpets and rugs, mattresses.Use a low foam cleaning chemical or use a separate foam reducing chemical as an additive, too much foam can get into all the internal parts and create scum that will lower the lifespan of the machine. The final thing I will say about this machine is that it is incredibly user friendy. Everyone on my team has used this without issue as there is ease in maneuvering. There is a button to apply chemical and water as you are extracting and an emergency on/off button. The hoses/parts are easily changeable. Filling the chemical receptacles and emptying the dirty water bucket can be done in a few seconds. If you are cleaning an extremely soiled area, I would pretreat with a despotter or high traffic area stain remover first and let sit for a few minutes, run the machine over it while releasing chemicals, evaluate and run again if still soiled. I have also found that starting with fairly hot water helps to remove dirt better than just using cold water. Awesome ROI at the price point.

Worth the money.
Bought this a year ago in 2023 to clean carpets after an aging cat who viewed the litter box with poorly veiled disdain. When paired with a pet formula carpet cleaner, it worked great. Light enough to maneuver easily. Clear instructions. Good cleaning power. Recently had a teenager move out. Also works great on removing the smell of teenage angst. Would buy again.

Gets the job done!
Very easy to use. It is bigger than most of the other brands I looked at but it’s built to do a professional job. It sprays the cleaner, scrubs and then sucks up the dirt. I have rescue dogs and this is a must to keep my house clean.

Love it! But there are some flaws
I really love it, it cleans excellent and it’s easy to use but my only complaints are that the buckets seem to be a lot smaller than previous models so you’re filling and emptying it out often and what I feel is a design fail when the rug doctor is empty of water when you remove the bucket to discard the water the whole machine tips over for being too heavy so I have to have it leaning somewhere while I am removing and another thing I feel was supposed to be pro but it’s a con is that you have to fill the water directly to the machine in previous models the fill and empty bucket was the same I feel it’s more of a hassle to fill the machine with hott water unless you have a hose it’s a little bit of a hassle since you cannot use the empty bucket as a measurement of how much water you’re putting into the machine other than those flaws it has excellent suction the dry time is usually fairly quick will post picture and videos at a later date but out if 10 I rank it a 8.5

Cleaning power in an always available machine
First off, I have had numerous commercial companies clean my carpets with a variety of results - the only thing consistent is a high price. I have also rented Rug Doctor machines (with good results, but always disgusted by the machines) and have owned a couple Bissell ProHeat machines. This Rug Doctor Mighty Pro 3X was definitely a worthwhile purchase.PROS:The machine has a fairly small footprint in the closet which is nice. Its capacity also allows for a much larger cleaning area than the Bissell I owed.I did NOT have an issue carrying a full machine up and down the stairs as others have said. It is light enough and handles are well placed. It cleans well. The Amazon price was roughly the same as Walmart, but I was able to get the handheld attachment included (A definite must). No excessive water left on the carpet. Thick, high quality carpet dried easily.CONS:My biggest complaint is that it is a little awkward getting the recovery tank off the machine because the top hinges up, but only slightly. It feels like it should catch somewhere or tip up more, but it doesn't.For a machine that does not get all of the way to the edges, I think the handheld attachment should be standard (again on Amazon it is, in stores - no).Overall, I have used this in a few rooms and am quite pleased. Even though our home is new (less than 3 years old), and we keep it very clean, this was still able to get a substantial amount of dirty water in the recovery tank. With just the basic chemical that comes with it, this machine was also able to clean up a stain from my kids' dry-erase marker that got dropped on the floor (the Bissell didn't touch it!).After finishing the rest of the house (about 3200 sq ft of carpet), I will update again.

Pathetic All Around
Purchased a new unit on 12/24/2023. Unit arrived in an opened box but appeared intact. Did not perform function check upon receiving unit. Turned it on for the first time 3/21/2025. Pump does not spray cleaning solution despite following every troubleshooting step. Called rug doctor support and spoke with Alexis. Was informed to that the unit is out of warranty and any and I am to incur any and all expenses to repair. Was offered access to a tech specialist via phone. Left voicemail.Attempted to utilize the extended Asurion warranty which the unit is still covered under. Followed prompts to file a claim. Upon filing a claim, Asurion provided a prompt that said the unit is still under manufacturer’s warranty and to contact Rug Doctor. While Amazon, Asurion, and Rug Doctor all fellate themselves, I’m without a carpet extractor that I paid good money for.
