Cable Mountain 2m Gold Plated 3.5mm Stereo Jack to Jack Cable

Yesterday - just after I had spent an hour carefully sanding away at the side of one of the jack-plugs - I wanted to give just one star. Now, after a night's sleep, my glass is half full rather than half empty! Those jack-plugs are MONSTERS! ... but the good news - for me - was that much of the bulk is pointlessly obese plastic moulding ... so I was able to flatten out one side quite significantly without actually breaking through the structure of the plug. I wouldn't have bought this cable had I really understood how fat the plugs were ... as some other reviewers were trying to warn me!I bought this cable to pair with a 5m USB cable which charges a new soundbar. It all seems to work fine ... in the end! ... so 3 stars on reflection! ... but this cable's plugs belong in an age when people liked to show their friends big fat cables plugging into big fat audio boxes ... not an age when manufacturers want to make everything as slim and elegant as possible. I was caught out by a slightly (!) recessed socket array! Go with the modern style, Cable Mountain! (but I suspect that these jack-plugs might be your last-generation stock, anyway)

Bought to connect a PC to sound bar. Connect the 3mm jack to the headphone socket on your PC, Laptop, phone etc and connect the other 3.5mm jack to the AUX input on the stereo device. Lead feels and looks to be good quality which is why I paid a few extra ££ rather than buying a cheap nasty one. thanks!

I always try to buy CableMountain stuff for 99% of applications. As an audio specialist, I will use these cables for almost all applicable uses. For audiophile solutions I would use something a bit more high end, but for anything other than this, these will be sufficient. I've also cut these up many times and have been surprised about how thick the cores are.

This is a great cable. I always think it's worth paying the extra for better quality cables and this one continues to confirm my beliefs. The only niggle was that the adaptor head is quite large, so if I use it with my phone then I have to remove the phone case to get the cable in. That said, you could argue that is the fault of my case rather than the cable, and so I have no problem in giving this a 5 star review!I tested this cable against another, cheaper cable, my father owns. The sound difference was surprising and this proved itself to be a far superior cable.

The aluminium hoods over the cable/plug interface are rather fat and can make access to some sockets difficult, particularly on headphones. Other than that, the cable does everything I could want. Everything sounds good but before buying, do check if access to an intended socket is flat for about 3mm around the entrypoint.

Fantastic product, for the price I was a little worried about how the quality of the item would be and also the sound/connection quality.I have had no problems, it seems very well made and the sound quality was fantastic. Very impressed.Would highly recommend to anyone needing a this sort of cable. I used in my car to connect my phone to the stereo on the AUX setting.Item also came very quickly and packaged well.

I am not a connoisseur sound-wise, and I use these in the car, so any shortcoming would be just as likely due to my stock-speakers! Therefore this review is about the fundamentals only. Connects well, is strong, doesn't fall to bits. The connectors are quite chunky, so watch out if it might interfere with another jack you wanna plug in, tho!! ;)

Really really good. Very long, good fit, stay in phone. Only downside is you may have to take off your case on your phone if it's bulky like mine, not an issue though because I only ever use the cable at home. Good sound quality, or at least better than my last cable. Very robust, stylish, surprisingly the cable is dark blue not black which I didn't realise. Great purchase
