Great for baking, lovely and dark for hot chocolate. Better quality than most supermarket own brands cocoa and much better value

Not as intense as the darker 'Extra Brute' no 3, but still delicious in all baking, puds and Hot Choc drinks.
This is very good cocoa powder and I'm using it for all sorts of baking and chocolate desserts, as well as rich, chocolatey cocoa hot drinks. It's been alkalised, so although the purists might say cocoa loses some of its antioxidant properties during the dutching process, I think it gives a better, more chocolatey hit.This one is slightly paler in colour and less intense than the 'Extra Brute' which, regretfully, loses it a star, as I prefer the 'strength' of the darker variant, but that's just personal preference.People who find the darker No 3 a bit too intense will probably prefer this.As with the Extra Strong, this one mixes like a dream, dissolves quickly, cooks really well - nothing not to like.If I'm making a Hot Chocolate with this, I just add a bit extra powder - tastes lovely, no powdery residue. Top cocoa powder. Recommended.
