Great done the job perfectly

The lid of our large blanket and cushion chest was heavy (and potentially dangerous) to open and close.So I was pleased to discover this pair of small gas struts which was just the right spec to install onto the chest/lid interface.The kit includes all fixings and mounts and the installation guide was easy to understand.Now, the heavy chest lid can be opened and closed effortlessly, even by the kids.

These struts replaced two of the same size on my trailer door as the originals were sticking and starting to rust.What I would say though that the original struts are much more sturdy and heavier duty.The originals have more metal and cost four times the price of these ones.Still, they do the job well enough, but I think I need to upgrade to the heavy duty ones though.Not bad and I think worth the asking price.

I have these fitted on a blanket chest that I made a while ago, and they make a huge difference! I like to make things solidly, and the lid turned out to be a bit heavy for some members of the family. Having fitted the gas struts it's light enough to be opened with one finger, and the lid can no longer crash down and hurt anyone. So they're a big success, and they make life easier and safer for us.In the kit you get everything you need - the struts plus the attachment point hinges for each end. You can vary the amount of assistance they give by changing the positioning in relation to the lid hinge. It's great being able to order different ratings and sizes, and this is a product that I'll definitely be fitting elsewhere. Top marks.

Perfect for my outside pillow storage bench I’ve made. Perfect for holding the lid up whilst I fetch the pillows out. Seem quite robust and could probably take more weight than the weight of the lid but I’d rather not risk it.
