Comparison between Gum Orthodontic Wax and Booth's Orthodontic Wax
I suffered a trauma to my face and had to use wax on my braces on a permanent basis and I tried a lot of waxes. Here I'm comparing Gum Orthodontic Wax to Booth's Orthodontic Wax (this kind is similar to the majority in the market)Here's my opinion of them:- Booth's is cheaper, nearly half the price- GUM's is firmer (not as flexible and maleable) this mean that:-- It's easier to cut and divide into small portions to apply to your braces (Less waste)-- When applying to the braces you don't need to adjust (with Booth's Wax when I adjusted it horizontally it would expand vertically, and so on, so I would need to adjust a few times)-- After using the wax on the braces, GUM's would more or less remain in its place, while Booth's would travel from the braces towards the teeth (this would bring discomfort, and also meant that the braces would have less amount/less protection)-- Removing it would be easier with GUM's as they were firmer, they would hold together and come off together, Booth's kept breaking into pieces and becoming very annoying to remove- GUM's wax also comes pre-divided making it even more easier to measure and calculate what you need (see pic)- GUM's wax it's easy to remove from the box, while Booth's sometimes sticks to the box and it becomes tricky to remove (see last picture, this is 2 rows of booth's wax)- GUM's box comes with a mirror in case you don't have mirrors around and need to apply. All in allGUM's Wax is a superior product indeed. The amount of wax you save it is almost the difference in price. If you are on a budget, I would suggest using GUM's wax at night (which is way more comfortable) and Booth's during the day. Otherwise just use GUM's, it makes your life easier.

Great
I used this when my filling fell out to protect my tongue from a jagged tooth. So glad I had this as it prevented me from having a very painful few days until I was seen by my dentist !

Does the job
Bit too soft, but otherwise does everything it needs to

Daughter swears worth paying extra for this brand
wax stayed where it needed to protect gums from spiky braces. coronavirus lockdown meant no impromptu visits to orthodontist possible.

Doesn't adhere to the brackets
This wax doesn't adhere to the brackets easily. Even once you manage to get it on, it does sometimes come off when you're talking. Vitis works far better and doesn't have any problems staying on your brackets, plus it's cheaper.

Great experience from order to delivery. Highly recommended!
1. Remove the wax from the packaging. 2. Form a small ball or strand with the wax. 3. Attach wires over the brackets where friction occurs. 4. Gently press into position until it sticks. 5. Replace wax when no longer sticks loses its effectiveness.
Safety Warning
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep away from naked flame or direct heat sources.
