Love it
A helpful addition. Installed by a locksmith who is also a "smart home" installer. Easy to operate and program. A smart update that replaced my old (non-smart) programmable locks. Works with wi-fi.

Simple is th best
I had a smart lock before. It wasn’t easy to install despite I am good at setting up software and mechanical stuffs. The smart part never worked. After a while, the battery kept needed to change. This time, I wanted something simple. I purposely chose this model that doesn’t connect to any home network or Bluetooth. My family loves it.This lock is suitable for the following people:1) you don’t need open or close door remotely. You don’t need notifications of the door’s status.2) you have kids that don’t own smart phones. They can easily access with the code. I also run without bring my phone.3) you live in a house not apartment. In case you are locked out, there are other ways to get in.4) you want something simple to install and to use.5) longer battery life because the lock doesn’t have to communicate with any hubs, wifi, or Bluetooth.

2nd One Added to the House - Great with SmartThings
This thing integrates perfectly and easily with SmartThings which, in turn, now integrates nicely with Alexa. If you already have a deadbolt installed, this literally will take you 10 minutes to have mechanically installed and paired to your hub.My first one has been running for about 18 months flawlessly. I have changed the batteries that came with in that time and it is still running on second set that I purchased; so as you can see battery life is good. The Z-Wave functionality has been solid. I have a few automations programed that use the lock and it hasn't let me down once. One of the great things about this is the ability to have individual codes. I have set it up to let me know on my phone when the door is opened and I can keep track of the kids returning to the house. The ability to add a temporary pin has been great when we have needed someone to Pet sit. That combined with sensors showing when doors open and close let us know when and how long the sitter was in the house. In addition, once you no longer need them to have access, you are on the way home, you can delete the pin.The other function that I find very useful is the auto-lock; albeit I have replaced that functionality with a smarter automation on SmartThings. You can set this lock to auto-lock after a set period of time. Its built-in function will allow up to three minutes. There is one caveat, if a person doesn't completely shut the door, the bolt will try to shut and cycle against the frame. It took a while to get the kids out of the habit of partially shutting the door and either shutting to latch or leaving open if they come back in. For the latter, I wrote a smartthings automation that senses when door is closed (I have contact sensors) and then locks the lock. The front door, being used less frequently is set to shorter duration than that of the entrance to the garage.Overall, this is a very good lock, especially a good value when it goes on sale. Fit and finish is good. Installation instructions and hardware is very good. The ability to use a Z-wave device was the kicker for me. I prefer the hub-dumber smart device method. That is to say, I want home automation without everything being able to get to the internet. Z-wave and zigbee does just this. With the recent improvements to SmartThings and Alexa, this device is a solid addition to any smart home.

I was sure something would go wrong -- but it works great
Update: Dec. 2019 -- still works perfectly, to be honest I love this thing and will get for my front door.Wow, it's very nice. Frankly, I'm amazed that I was able to install it and set it up without any issues. This zigbee version works great with my Echo Plus. I'm no good at handyman-type stuff, but I managed just fine and everything is exactly as described.I use it for the entry between my garage and the side of my kitchen. The keypad is responsive, it paired quickly in the Alexa app with my Echo Plus (nothing else needed), and the instructions were good enough. I never installed any additional apps, I just used the Alexa app. I did look on Youtube to watch a few people install theirs. You can lock the door using voice, routines, or the Alexa app. I'm very impressed.I was concerned when shopping because multiple different shopping tools I use warned me of fake reviews for this product. Fakespot gives this product an F: "Our engine has profiled the reviewer patterns and has determined that there is high deception involved." There is a lot of evidence that suggests most of the reviews here are fake. But I took a Prime Day chance, and I have to say, this works really great. Now, the only question that remains is, how long will it last?
