Got this when the price dropped to $32 but my almost 5 year old can’t close it on his own. It can be partially clasped (nothing spilled into the lunchbox) but it takes some strength to close it all the way. I may wait it out and see if he can learn to seal it shut. Also, it’s got a bit of weight to it but its not terribly heavy. I think it’s fine for a small child (4 and up).Update: My child learned how to close it on their own once taught where to press down. I've had it for a week now and it's been blissful and spillover-free.

After my son's plastic Bentgo box got warped over time (lids would not close), I decided to invest in a stainless steel lunchbox - one, the material is more sustainable and environmentally friendly, two, despite the high cost upfront, I figured it would save me the trouble of having to purchase another plastic lunchbox if it warped again. I've only used this lightly for 2 weeks of summer camp so far (ie total 10 days). I am disappointed to say that the METAL CLASP fell off. It looks like it was glued onto the surface, and despite trying to superglue it back on, it popped off at school. So... while almost perfect in design, for $50 and only using it 10 times... I'm sorry to say it's not worth it. I'm hoping it was a single defect, and the seller reaches out to help solve this. I did notice another seller offers a 5 year warranty so... hopefully this seller honors something to that effect as well. It says to reach out to the seller but there is no way to contact them.

Love this so much I'm ordering a second one. My intellectually disabled daughter needed something that was easy to use and separates her foods. This was perfect. I worried it might be too hard for her to open/close, but it's fantastic. AND it doesn't warp in the dishwasher like so many of the plastic bento boxes eventually do.

Each container section seals well, but the overall sizes of each section and the container as a whole is on the small side. Works for my toddler, doesn't work for me (average adult).

We have used this lunchbox for a few months now. Liquids/dips don't leak at all. We even put the lunchbox sideways in my daughter's backpack so she can bike to school and there's no problem come lunch time. I put the metal shell in the bottom part of the dishwasher and silicone lid on the top rack. So nice I don't need to hand wash anything and no plastics! Highly recommend.

Looks a bit like an aluminum steel alloy but its been working really well so far and my 2 year old son loves it. Fun to add some stickers on the top

Ask my wife started going back to the office. She needed to have a nice lunch box. We decided to go with this stainless steel one, primarily because of the experience with my daughters lunch boxes. This stainless steel lunch box is very solid, easy to wash, and leak. Proof. It maintains hot temperature pretty well from 7:30 a.m. all the way to the noon. We are hesitant to put this banter box inside the dishwasher because of the silicon elements. But other than that my wife is happy with this lunch box given its size, quality, and lightweight. We absolutely recommend it, especially when people return to the office.

I was looking for a box like this that was not made out of plastic. This is a great little lunch box and everything that touches the food is either stainless steel or silicone. It is a nice slim size and will be good for use by children or adults.
