Decent die cast model car.
Other than the odd scale (1/26), which makes it slightly small next to my 1/25 scale models, it looks good. Pretty decent replica of the old Buick. And yes, back in the fifty's the CHP used two-door sedans, with the lights as depicted on the model. It fits in with my 1950s model cars.

toy cop car
I purchased this for my 6 year old grandson who is a HUGE old car fan, especially cop cars. Go figure. Anyway... he sleeps with this car. It is a total hit. It's not as big as you may think... about 5 or 6" long... He loves that the doors, the hood opens slightly, doors open, trunk does NOT open. He loves to talk about it... what happens in the car... under the hood. It's adorable. It is was I would call about medium weight and metal. It arrived quickly (I have prime) and in excellent condition. It has a very nice box with a clear window if you're "collecting" them. I think it will last as long as he will want it to. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

Nice car, but missing the gumbol...
Very nice police car with good size for G scale dioramas or the like. Being a vintage police car, it needs a bubble top red light. Fortunately, I was able to secure one from Ebay. Not sure why this car has no light, but for the era - I think almost all police cars had a light and siren too. Perhaps a detective vehicle did not need that - think from watching TV shows they put a light on the top manually when they were chasing someone. Still - a very nice car that can be further adapted for any use. Recommended.

The "Highway Patrol" Car
I bought this because I collect model cars of the 1950s and I wanted to add some sort of Police Vehicle to the lineup. There are not many available and the problem with the others is that the manufacturers generally use 2 door pillarless hardtops as a starting point and paint them in Police Livery. This is not the way these cars appeared on the streets.Hardtops were expensive and usually only top-of-the-line offerings; Fairlanes, Bel-Airs, Belvederes, Roadmasters, etc. This car is, as it should be, a Plain-Jane two-door pillared sedan and would have been Buicks lowest price offering. It wears standard black sidewall tires and plain hub caps (with trim rings) as it would have in real life.I'm not sure if the Centurys had four portholes on the side or not, but I like them. The model itself is modest. The Hood and front doors open. The engine is nothing special, just black plastic. The paint is a little sloppy, but it's still a great car for the price.I wouldn't consider this to be a toy. I can't imagine a child wanting one of these. Collectors like myself should love it.

Not bad but will work for intended purpose and shipping time was phenomenal!
The quality is ok at best. The front wheels both lean inward and car does not track well. Mirror is very loose and will not stay without intervention but the paint is fine.Since this is purchased as a decoration only and will not be played with (unless the kids are sneaking around behind my back) it should be fine for its intended purpose. Now to the really good part. I received this item in just over 12 hours! This is the fastest shipping I have received yet (and I have received some pretty fast shipping too). So, under $12.00 and shipped to my door in about 12 hours most definitely gets this 5 stars.
