*****update*****I’ve ordered these steaks 7 times now and until this order was completely satisfied with the quality of the steaks. These steaks that I just received are clearly not the same quality and arrived from California instead of the usual location. They were not only thawed but were hot! They arrived in a bubble wrap with one small block of what would have been ice. It simply isn’t safe to eat beef that has been halfway cooked from transit.I’ve been impressed so far. Ive ordered these a few times just to make sure the company is consistent and so far I’m impressed. I wish they offered a leaner cut like NY strip steaks here on Amazon. Pound for pound the price compares with our local shops but the convenience of having them frozen means I can thaw them at will instead of processing local bought for use later. They do have a tendency to leak when thawing so I keep them in the bigger bag they arrive in.

Steaks were completely dethawed when I received them. The steaks were warm to the touch. There was a small ice pack that was melted.

We're used to good quality meat, this brand was packaged well with vaccum and an outer zip style package as well, however these steaks seem to have gone from hangar to packaging with no hang time.The flavor is unique I'll give them that, but as with any bagged and tagged whole muscle cuts tenderness is not a factor, even with a 4 hour wait time to the grill they only made a 2 star impression. I was hoping for better for what this package cost me.
