Sturdy, well made and effective
I'm pretty pleased with this after my first outing using it. I got it to go alongside my Robens Eagle Rock TC 6+2 tent which is khaki and drab green. I did expect the beige of this windbreak to be more similar but its slightly lighter than I hoped but I feel still looks good next to the tent.It performed well in light winds and the whole of it is nice and sturdy. Good strong poles which assemble firmly and securely. The material is strong and ripstop. Poles slide through well with no concerns and rest in the top holes. Guy lines are nice and functional. The transparent window offers good enough clarity through. The bag is strong and also well made and big enough to fold this back up and put back in. Often manufacturers make small bags that accommodate the object out the factory and said object never fits back in but this is not the case here.It should be noted this windbreak does sit about four or five inches off the gground.it would be nice being a bit closer. But it does the job of keeping the brunt of the wind off the camp. I'd imagine the bottom is left clear to allow some through to ensure it remains standing.I've only used this on one camo so far and the weather conditions were quite favourable with only light winds. I'll update this review after other camps if I become dissatisfied with it in any way.Anyway this has impressed me enough to get a second one to add further privacy to the camp.

Hickman 4 pole windbreak.
Bought the Hickman windbreak, 4 pole and 5m long. Took time to review a lot of windbreaks and went to a local outdoor camping warehouse to examine the materials used. Most are like the material used for umbrellas not very strong. These are made from Oxford material and outshine the others I examined. Tried it out in 45mph winds, never moved, you see some reviews saying the steel poles are useless, these have a larger diameter pole in three sections and are strong. This windbreak has a 2” spike top and bottom, unlike the wooden ones that you hammer in the ground, you just press the spike in the ground the guide ropes keep it taut. You get some ground pegs with the Hickman, but I have used these in my garden and I am not a fan. I purchased some stronger ones ( Suwimut 12 Pack Tent Stakes, 12 inch Black Forged Heavy Duty Steel Tent Pegs) they are strong, a perfect addition to the Hickman. Highly recommend the Hickman and the heavy duty pegs, you won’t go wrong with either of these items. Regards James.

Great until the breeze built up :(
Whilst this windbreak is at the cheaper end of the market compared with some, I thought I would give it a try.The sheet appears to be well made and stitched so have no problems with that. However, the included poles I found were very poor - and two of the four were damaged (bent and so awkward to carry out a strong repair) when used recently during some high winds.Yes, I did say high winds, but in my defence the windbreak was actually sheltered between a car and my air awning (a metre between them) and also inline with the prevailing winds, yet still caught the wind and damaged two of the polesSince the ongoing forecast wasn't much better for the remainder of my stay I took the panel down as I didnt hold out much hope of it surviving any longer anywayLooks nice, and possibly thinking of buying wooden stakes to keep using it otherwise I might use the panel as a rain cover for the back door of my vehicle instead and hold down with suction clampsSadly I couldn't recommend due to the poor quality of the metal poles and the fact that they do not insert into each other more than an inch or two, thus making a poor joint that was destined for failure

Very disappointed for the price
I was very disappointed with this ,brought it for my camping trip ,not only was it hassle to put up but it wouldn’t stay up and it wasn’t even that windy . I ended up putting it away .I will be buying one of the cheap beach ones next time for half the price what just hammer into the ground.

Adequate
Used this for two weeks so far on coast at Scotland. Each end blew down twice and needed re done. Guy ropes needed tightened as would expect. It would be better with option of deeper pegs not just hard ground small tips. If left up constantly , as the wind changes direction you would need to put extra guy ropes so it secured both sides. We liked the light colour and also the transparent panel so you are sheltered but don’t feel blocked in .

Wind Break(s) it
There was a light breeze last night and I got back to my camp to find the whole thing flattened. The pegs are weak and totally useless, the poles don't stay together. I like the design of the clear windows and the loops for fairy lights but I'm going to have to stand it all up again every day. It's been in use 2 days and there's already a bent pole. It's not strong enough for its purpose and certainly isn't worth anywhere near what it cost. It also doesn't seem like there's a way of setting it up where the top fabric doesn't droop.
