Q: What size are they when opened up? I need at least 14 x 16 inches to fit the toilet I will be using.

Think these are bit smaller in size but if you have a regular sized toilet they should be ok. I tried another brand SoNeat and their covers were a lot bigger and their sizing also says 18*15 which explains it.

In my opinion, Always a good idea to wipe the toilet seat. This is a good product. I use it at the campground restroom.
