This was a lot of fun for my 5 year old son. We have done other dinosaur dig sets and love them also but for it to be Minecraft made this awesome! We followed the directions and soaked it for 30 seconds before using the pickaxe. He broke through pretty quickly but not TOO quickly. Like most of these types of kits it is pretty messy. That of course didn’t seem to bother him! He loves the little character he dug out too. It’s super cute!

My sons 7 and we soaked it as intended..... yea this thing is like a solid clay brick and you trying to carve at it with a plastic "pickax" aint happening. We let him have his fun for a bit till he got tired of trying to "mine" it soo........we just chucked it at the ground till it split and we could get the figure. (7 year olds can be pretty impatient lol) figurine inside is about the same size as other figurines you can get out of say the Minecraft dungeon mystery box's. Nothing really special about it other then the fact you get to sit around for 5 hours trying to carve out a figurine from a solid clay block. Either way i dont have any complaints and my son was generally happy.

I loved this it was time consuming while I am bored at home. The one thing i was dissatisfied with was that there is only one mini figure in this huge egg that could probably fit 2 or 3 minifigures. So it is on the pricier side for a singular mini figure but it was loads of fun to crack open.

The easter bunny got this for my 6 year old (he's the size of an 8.5 year old so not like a small kid for perspective on the next part) these were impossible for him to dig through. We even soaked it in water overnight to see if it softened to be diggable nope. My husband actually ended up having to slam it on the ground to get it to break to a diggable degree. My kid loves his figure and the pickaxe for digging it just needs softer easier to dig outer stuff.

My 6 year old son had a hard time getting this open even when put in water for 30 mins it was still really tough to get through with the little axe they give you. His dad ended up taking a real axe to it to get it open. But surprise surprise we got the golden creeper!! Overall thought it was cool just hard to get open and it made a huge mess in my kitchen lol.

Don't waste your money! A lot of work for a crappy toy
