I may have gotten a dud, but this lighter is a bust. Only lights once out of every 15 + attempts. Whatever the ignition system is ,it's unreliable. Inadequate instructions and zero contact info. Beyond frustrating. I have no idea where all of these 5 star reviews came from but this thing is over priced junk in a pretty package. NEXT!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Great flame thrower. Gas often sputters out in a 1-2 foot flaming liquid stream that’s sure to ignite your candle and anything else nearby. I’ll be returning this for a refund.

Read the small print. Due to international shipping regulations the lighter does not come preloaded with butane. This is understandable but should be featured more prominently in the description of the product. The instructions are poorly translated from another language and by no means clear.

Been using this lighter for 3 months. First, it does not hold very much butane at all. You will be filling it all of the time. Second, it depends on what you are using it for. We use it for candles and it is good for exposed wick candles but will not light like a stick lighter (Bic, for example with the long barrel) inside of the 1/2" or deeper wax surround, say of a pillar candle or small votive/tealight holder, whereas a barrel lighter will light and stay lit. I regret this purchase and wish I had selected another. If you are using it for campfire or fire pit, I would imagine it would be fine but be prepared to fill it often.

The presentation alone looks like this will work excellently but I think they spent more on QC on the box than the torch itself. When I filled it with butane it would not fill correctly, I did use the correct butane bottle tip. Whatever butane gas did go in, when I tried to adjust it with the flame adjuster, the flame was all over the place and the adjuster did not work. I tried for about 20 minutes before accepting it just didn't work. Disappointing because it does look like it would work really well.

I have 55 oil candles that I heat my rv with. I always dreaded the cold weather because it was such a hassle to light them. They are at different places. I would have to go around with a wooden match or one of those. store bought bbq lighters that you buy in the store that was very difficult to light. I bought this because it looked good and had good reviews and I thought if I did not like it I would send it back. When I received it I attempted to put butane in it and it did not seem like it was going in but I kept trying for quit a while but nothing happened. At first I thought it was a dud but after a while I tried it again and it worked like a charm. It would seem to take forever with the matches and then I would have a mess to clean up with a bunch of burned matches cluttering everywhere. But with this torch it takes only seconds to light all 55 of my candles. Very happy with it.Had it for just a couple of weeks then just stopped working.

Got these due to the race reviews. But unfortunately we can't get refill the lighter with your average butane canister. The manual wasn't very helpful and there's no user videos illustrating the process. Had to return it for a refund.

This torch is ok at best. The packaging is the nicest part about the purchase. When I saw it, I thought I was about to unwrap a durable lighter but, I was mistaken. I feel like if I drop it from standing height onto concrete, it will most likely break into a million pieces. Every time I take it out of the box to start a fire, I have to refill it and sometimes, the ignition switch will return to it he safe position but the flame will continue burning for a few seconds.
