Works, seems well made, would purchase again
Not bad at all. The digital display is really nice, can easily adjust to the exact temp you want, within a few degrees at least. After you set it at a specific temp you can then see it's current temp, it stays pretty much right where you set it at though it will jump around within a few degrees of the set temp, kind of expected that though. Depending on the fan speed you have it set at you can actually get the temp up to 1,022F I found.Seems like it can take a few hits, solid feeling tool. Not heavy but doesn't feel like a cheap piece of junk either.Great bargain compared to the $80 price point I was seeing for other digital heat guns.

Good import bargain
Good import bargain! Works great and is even quieter than the Steinel I have at work. One star dropped because no storage box.UPDATE 11/17* Was showing it off to my father and heard an pop/arc sound, now it will no longer regulate the temp to the setting. Probably had less than 1/2 hour total run time on it.

Works good
Works and easy to adjust and see temp setting. It looks like it had seen used and has small scratches on temp display. It would be nice if it came with a case

good enough.
it's max temp setting is 932F. i held up a thermocouple and all i could measure was about 550F. that's fine though. when i had it roasting coffee in a bread machine, with tinfoil covering the opening, i was able to get up to 485F on a thermocouple, with heat setting of 650F. after i'm done heating, i find it cools faster if i put a regular fan on the beans, and leave the gun in cool down for 4 minutes or so. after taking out the beans, i can use this gun to blow out all the rest of the loose chaff.so this roasts coffee just fine. it's a little underpowered for searing meats. but i like it.edit: on 5-14 it stopped working. it never over heated, but now on the heat setting, it's only getting 5F above ambient, so 77F. it's like the device doesn't know it's on heating mode. i got better at using it to prevent heat kickback into the device, but parts of it may have already been damaged. oh well, time to buy a more expensive one :/.

I built a home coffee roaster and this heat gun ...
I built a home coffee roaster and this heat gun is the heart of the device. The multitude of variable speeds and precise temperature output has been ideal for dialing in the roast range, and, it has been generating consistent results. It gets run @ 800° for a half hour every week and hasn't shown any issues. The fan motor has a little whine in it now and again but not a deal breaker. I can still get a pound of roasted beans a week. If it fails, I'll purchase this identical heat gun again. Can't beat the price point compared to other heat guns on Amazon.Update: now, I roast 4 times a week for friends and neighbors. I'm still using the original heat gun. The screen has some debris (chaff) that's found its way in behind the plastic but it's still very usable. Seriously figured this would've died a long time ago. 2.5 hours continuous run every week and it hasn't lost a step.

Meh. Digital readout is a fantasy.
Doesn't seem terribly hot. I used my digital IR heat gun to measure the temperatures and the air coming out is nowhere near the heat that's on the digital readout. Otherwise it seems to be a nifty unit but the temperature settings are nothing but a fantasy. It's digital so it MUST be better. lol. I'm going to buy another brand that has a simple dial because that this type of product is just for uneducated consumers. I'll probably use it as a backup and for things that don't require as much heat. I'm stripping clag off tires so this seems to be feeble for that. It was not too expensive so I'm not going to bother returning the item.

Good value !
This tool seems to be well made. It works perfectly for my application. What I like the most about this heat gun is the fact that you can dial the correct temperature for the job at hand and you can determine what temperature works best for any given application. The tool is well balanced , fits my hand nicely , the controls are easy to use. It comes with several accessories. I have used this for over a month and have had no problems.

Very versitale & accurate and easy to use
The digital display is great, easy to adjust to temperature, good control over airflow for delicate work and fairly accurate at maintaining the correct temp at all times. The temp does fluctuate some when set at a specific temp but that is pretty much to be expected due to the way these things produce heat and blow the air around. I would say it fluctuates within a 0-5 degree range of the set temp. Worked great for speeding up paint drying and working on setting a new phone screen. Also used it to remove stickers from a car. Extremely versatile.
