Gold Crest Lily Bird Bath

This was a pretty inexpensive birdbath so I didn't expect much... and I didn't get much. It is incredibly thin and light plastic. Even with the center post filled with wet sand it was very light and unstable. It comes with ridiculously short stakes that would do no good even if they did fit over the base, but they don't. For $30 I guess it would be okay for a small yard or garden that got no wind at all. But I think most homeowners would find it much to lightweight to use.

Well, I purchased this bath to replace the useless one I'd purchased only a few weeks ago on Amazon (reviewed separately). For whatever reason, the birds love this one, whereas they completely ignored the hanging type. If you keep this clean and filled with fresh water, I think you'll be very happy with this bird bath. I don't profess to be an ornithologist, and am only a casual bird watcher (very casual), so I don't know why the birds prefer this style of bath over the hanging type, but I can attest that, for the small birds here in the residential area of Orange County, CA, this bath is now a regular stopover for dozens of birds every day.

Birdbath looks lovely in our garden and many birde come to take a dip and a quick drink to cool off. This is a light weight birdbath so we used garden spikes (u-shaped kind) to hold it down and level. It's discolored a little in the bowl with water exposer over the past few month but has held up well and still looks fine. I give it a good rinse every other day or so (clean out the bird poop and dirt) and fill with fresh water. I really didn't want to invest in anything expensive or heavy and this fit the bill. Simple assembly.

I love this bird bath! I did fill the pole with small stone to give it some weight. I used it to make a fairy garden.

This is just what i wanted Easy to assemble, Plastic No Maintenance, Lightweight, will last forever, I put rocks around the base for stability even thought it comes with anchors, buy my ground is hard. The birds love it. I have two. It came in about 2 days Could not believe how fast and I did not pay extra. did i mention that it is in three parts that screw together in about 2 minutes. Add water and enjoy. Very happy.

Love this. Will be putting sand or rocks down the middle for more support...but this is exactly as shown. Super happy with this bird bath. Thanks!

Does seem a little light, so upon the suggest of another reviewer I filled the center pole with rocks. It has held up very well with the high winds we have been having in NJ. It's a little deep so I added a rock to the center for an island to aid the birds in helping them drink. Squirrels love it too. But what don't they like?

I absolutely love this bird bath! I have been shopping at my local stores for a basic inexpensive bird bath for my back yard garden, every place I went wanted over $50 an I wasn't paying for that! This bird bath is beautiful, functional, and will last for many years to come!
