Vague Readings
We have used this indicator in chemistry class to determine the acidity and alkalinity of different known solutions and have been frustrated by the readings. The red color of the indicator is similar to the red color reading for acids. Also, some of the colors indicating readings of acid or base are so similar that it is hard to determine which the test substance is.
